What Is Zazen?

“Zazen” means “seated meditation” in Japanese. It is not a technique to reach a certain state. Rather, it is a posture of openness, of simply being. We sit not to escape, but to meet life directly, without filters.

In Zazen, we do not aim to stop thoughts or achieve calm. We simply observe, return, and rest in awareness. Thoughts may come and go. The breath flows. We remain seated in the now.
