Washing dishes can be a meditation. The warm water, the movement, the rhythm. Instead of rushing through it, slow down.

Notice the temperature. Feel the pressure of the sponge. Hear the sound of water.

This is mindfulness. This is Zen.

The goal is not to finish faster. The goal is to be present while doing it. That presence transforms the ordinary into sacred.

So tonight, don’t avoid the dishes. Welcome them. Wash with awareness. Dry with care. Smile.
