Posture matters — but not perfection. The essence is to sit upright, stable, and relaxed.
- Sit on a cushion (zafu) or a chair. Your hips should be slightly elevated.
- Cross your legs in half-lotus, Burmese, or simple style — whatever is sustainable.
- Keep your spine straight but not stiff.
- Hands form the cosmic mudra: dominant hand underneath, palms up, thumbs lightly touching to form an oval.
- Eyes half-open or softly closed, gaze downwards.
The body should be grounded yet light. Think: rooted like a mountain, breathing like a tree.
